ROPES V17.0 IS HERE

 

ROPES Version 17 is available.

The upgrade kit for ROPES Version 17is available here for customers that have already installed Version 9, or higher. The distribution file contains the TRANSMIT version of the distribution PDS necessary to install the upgrade as maintenance to your earlier release. The upgrade file, which is considered to be cumulative maintenance to Versions 10 through 16, is available for download in .zip format (file date 2011/06/09). This .zip file contains the complete distribution (software and documentation), and is about 8 mb.

If you prefer to download just the software, you will be able to use this link (file date 2011/06/09). The .zip file is about 1mb.

The documentation will be available from the links below, either as individual manuals or as the full collection.

This distribution package can also be used to install the full product if you are upgrading from Version 8 or lower.

Fixes for ROPES V17.0

The latest fix files for ROPES V17.0 can be downloaded here. The files are in zip format. Unzip the selected file into an empty directory and follow the instructions in the readme.txt file. Here is what is currently available:

RMC17001 - 07/26/2011 - Batch Queue Reorganization can abend with an 0C4. The return code may not be correct.

RMC17002 - 08/15/2011 - Batch Queue Reorganization does not issue the totals line. This fix has been superceded by RMC17003.

RMC17003 - 08/17/2011 - Several problems have been resolved and some enhancements have been made to the Batch Queue Reorganization program ROPEBQOR.

RMC17004 - 10/24/2011 - Support is added to the HTML conversion for the TITLE() keyword and the TRANSLATE() keyword

RMC17005 - 11/21/2011 - The current page number shown on the browse panel will be incorrect after a Find command results in a not found condition or an RFIND request gets the Bottom Of Report result.

RMC17006 - 12/08/2011 - Update the logic for obtaining the z/OS level in the BLSS service.

RMC17007 - 07/05/2012 - The module ROPEDCPU has been replaced by ROPEDCPO. A batch equivalent module has been introduced as ROPEDCBP.

RMC17013 - 11/10/2012 - To permit Quick Start automated by IPCP, the transaction RSTQ is defined to execute a modified ROPESTAR. If the transaction code is RSTQ, ROPESTAR will perform a Quick Start.

RMC17014 - 03/27/2013 - The ROPEJOB to ROPEJOBF conversion program abends with S0C4 or S01F.

RMC17015 - 04/04/2013 - The ROPEBQOR program emits nulls in the TOTALS message and does not display diagnostic message ROPES2120 correctly.

RMC17016 - 04/12/2013 - The ROPEDCPO module included in fix RMC17004 and RMC17007 is incorrect.
